Pajè

A small natural amphitheatre overlooking the River Tanaro, with soils rich in calcareous marl, giving the Nebbiolo a refined balance of elegance and depth.

Pajè - Boffa Carlo - Winemaking estate in Barbaresco

Pajè is universally recognised as one of Barbaresco’s most elegant and refined crus.

Situated in one of the most suitable areas of the municipality for the production of wine, the Pajè cru vineyards enjoy mainly westerly exposure and rest on calcareous soils.

This unique combination of soil and climate factors gives the Nebbiolo grown here a distinctive aromatic profile, characterised by finesse and a pleasant appeal, with elegant scents that are never aggressive.

The Additional Geographical Mention (MGA) of Pajè is among the smallest in the appellation, and our winery has the privilege of owning an entire hectare at its highest point, vinifying it as a single grape wine.

The resulting Barbaresco Pajè is distinguished by a very long palate and full body, while retaining its intrinsic elegance and harmony.
