Ovello, one of Barbaresco’s most famous crus, is distinguished by its pronounced structure and intensity.
The hills that climb from Neive towards Barbaresco are home to the Ovello cru vineyards, where the soil contains more clay. This characteristic, together with the presence of bluish marls, gives the wines greater potency and more evident tannins, as well as considerable mineral complexity.
The excellent exposure of the vineyards guarantees optimal sunshine and ripening of the Nebbiolo grapes.
The result is a Barbaresco of great character, with significant ageing potential.
